THE HEARTBREAKER MOUNTAIN BIKE RACE
PRESENTED BY BMC
2025 DATE TBD
Come experience the fun, fast and flowly race that is the HEARTBREAKER.
This is the one must-do race of the year!
The Heartbreaker course (at Creve Coeur's Bootlegger Tail) is as fun as they come! However, this beginner friendly course demands your full attention; the trees and turns come quickly.
Keep your guard up or the HEARTBREAKER might just live up to it's name.

RACE NOTES
WARM-UP
Please do not warm-up on the trail (unless you are racing Cat III Women's Categories) as you risk getting in the way of other riders trying to race their race. We suggest using Streetcar Drive south of the main parking lot for your Warm-Up.
PASSING RULES
The majority of the Bootlegger Trail is pretty narrow, which doesn't make it easy to pass a rider ahead of you. If you want to pass, just ask the rider in front of you nicely! Try saying "Hey there, can I pass you at the next wide part of the trail?" - Most riders will say yes. If you're the slower rider ahead and would rather just pull over and let someone pass, feel free, but yell back at them to let them know first.
PARKING
The larger parking lot across from Shelter 2 is the best and largest area to park, but if it's full please park at the many small spots South of Shelter 2. Please do not park passed (North) of Shelter 2.
SEEDING LAP
Each race will start on Streetcar Drive in front of the Shelter 2 area facing North. In order to help spread out riders before entering the trail, each race will start with a short counter-clockwise loop of the directly North section of Streetcar Drive before entering the Shelter 2 connector to the Start/Finish line.
CHECKING RESULTS
Athletes will not show online until they have started their race. Once started, updates will flow online every 4-5 minutes.
